Thoughtful, Evidence-Based Psychological Care
At Hikmah Psychology, therapy is offered as a carefully held space for reflection, healing, and meaningful growth. Our work integrates evidence-based clinical psychology with wisdom, cultural understanding, and compassionate care to support you through life’s most significant transitions.
We aim to provide psychological care that is clinically rigorous, respectful, and sustainable, so that therapy can be consistent and genuinely effective.
Appointments are available in Westmeadows and Australia-wide via Telehealth.
Session Fees
Individual Therapy
First Clinical Consultation session (70 mins): $210
Subsequent Therapy Sessions (50 mins): $170
Sessions include:
• Individual therapy with a Clinical Psychology Registrar
• Evidence-based psychological treatment
• Neuroaffirming and culturally responsive care
• Support through pregnancy, postpartum, and matrescence
• Thoughtful and individualised treatment planning
Many clients attend therapy regularly over time, allowing space for deeper and more lasting change.
Payment is required upon booking.
Medicare Rebates
Rebate of $98.95 per session.
Your gap for the first session (70 mins) is $111.05
then $71.05 for each therapy session (50 mins) thereafter.
If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate.
Medicare provides rebates for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year.
Rebates are processed electronically after your appointment, with most rebates returned within 24–48 hours.
If you would like to access Medicare rebates, your GP can prepare a Mental Health Care Plan and referral before your first session.
Private Sessions
You are welcome to attend therapy without a referral.
Private sessions offer:
• Flexible access to therapy
• No GP referral required
• No diagnosis required
• Greater privacy and choice
Some clients choose private sessions when they prefer immediate access or greater flexibility in their care.
Third-Party Referrals
We accept referrals through:
• NDIS
• TAC
• Vocat/FAS (Family violence organisations e.g., Orange Door, In Touch, Australian Red Cross, Berry St, etc.)
• WorkCover & EAP
Please provide your claim number and case manager details when booking and we can provide an invoice accordingly.
Private Health Insurance
Some private health insurers provide rebates for psychological services.
Please contact your insurer directly to confirm your eligibility.
Medicare and private health rebates cannot be claimed for the same session.
Cancellation Policy
Appointment times are reserved especially for you. Providing adequate notice allows the appointment to be offered to another client seeking support.
Cancellations or changes require at least 48 hours notice.
The following fees apply:
• Less than 48 hours notice: 50% of the session fee
• Less than 24 hours notice or non-attendance: 100% of the session fee
Cancellation fees are not eligible for Medicare or private health rebates.
